This is a live, interactive typographic utility built to calculate coordinate metrics for 5x5 square grids. Perfect for prototyping posters, block prints, or architectural layout designs.

The Calculation Rules

Our formula perfectly aligns words to the grid without leaving loose margins:

  • Horizontal: $2M + 5L + (L - 1)$ where $M$ is the 2-grid margin and $L$ is letter length.
  • Vertical: $2M + 5N + 2(N - 1)$ where $N$ is total stacked rows of text.
  • The Unit Rule: Each cell represents exactly one inch of space.
